APEX Partners with ORBIS International at the WAEA/APEX 31st Annual Conference & Exhibition

New York, October 4, 2010 – The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) formerly known as the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA), officially announced their philanthropic partnership with ORBIS International at the 31st Annual Conference & Exhibition. The expo took place September 12 – 16 at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, CA.

APEX President Patrick Brannelly welcomed over 2,300 delegates to this year’s annual conference. The annual event is a meeting place for the world’s leading airlines and vendors to network with colleagues and peers, learn about new products, industry trends and visit the world’s largest display of Inflight entertainment, communications and other airline passenger experience related products under one roof.

In addition, McHale spoke at the APEX Annual General Meeting, to its board of directors, members and officers. This unique partnership is the first of its kind for either organization. This is an opportunity for the member companies of the airline industry to help support the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital in its mission to prevent and treat blindness by providing quality eye care to transform lives.

“We are extremely grateful to the APEX Board of Directors and to all of the member companies that have welcomed ORBIS into the association,” said McHale “We are also appreciative for the incredible support that ORBIS has already received during this year’s conference and we look forward to an exciting year ahead.”
